Historic Downtown North Wilkesboro (HDTNW) has joined with the Cultural Arts Council of Wilkes,
Wilkes County Public Library, Tiffany's Place Teen Center, North Wilkesboro Housing Authority and
Key City Grille to host a Downtown Concert Series for the Summer of 2009.
Each event will begin at 5:30pm and will be a family-oriented block party held the on the corner of
Tenth and Main Streets in the Brushy Mountain Ruritan Apple Festival Park.
There will be no admission charge. Each month, there will be a select and unique genre of music as
selected by the hosting group. Food and beverages will be available on the street from downtown restaurants.
June 18 -- Jazz in June with Todd Wright Trio and Jennifer Snodgrass, hosted by the
Cultural Arts Council of Wilkes, North Wilkesboro Housing Authority & Key City Grille
July 23 -- Classic Rock in the Park with Problem Child and Thunder Valley Band hosted
by Wilkes County Public Library & Tiffany's Place Teen Center
August 20 -- Beach Block Party with Billy Scott & The Party Prophets, hosted by
Historic Downtown North Wilkesboro & Key City Grille
