Historic Downtown North Wilkesboro will be hosting a tour of upper-level homes on Saturday, June 10, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Tour tickets are $10 per person. Complimentary beverages and food will be served in each home.
The purpose of the tour is to allow people to experience the convenience and comfort of living in the downtown North Wilkesboro historic district. It features visits to four upper-level townhomes, with beverages and hors d’oeuvres in each home compliments of downtown North Wilkesboro establishments. Beverages in all homes will be compliments of the newly-opened Genu-Wine Spirits on Sixth Street.
The four townhomes are Ken & Laura Welborn at 911 Main Street, Tom & Jesse Ogburn at 218 Ninth Street, Buddy & Lib Forester at 205 Tenth Street, and Chuck Forester at 201 Tenth Street.
Restaurants furnishing the food in the homes are 6th & Main on Sixth Street, Talia Espresso Bistro on Main Street, Main Street Cafe, and the soon-to-open Branciforte’s Brick Oven, on Main Street in North Wilkesboro.
At the conclusion of the home tour at 8:00 PM, ticket holders will be treated to an ice cream dessert at the Wilkes Art Gallery courtesy of Brushy Mountain Smokehouse & Creamery. There will also be displays by local Realtors of properties for sale or rent in or near the historic district for those whose interest in living downtown has been stimulated by the tour.
